Vote Vote Vote

If we had to push the red button or pay 33 pence a minute to vote, I'm sure a lot more people would. There's no denying that our election process has begun leaning towards the X-Factor generation. The tv debates didn't quite generate the oohs and arghs of some car crash / enlightening moments of the tv talent contest but they were rather like sitting through a long job interview. Unfortunately, unlike our favourite Saturday night viewing we could only listen to what each of the leaders say they would do, where's the proof in their political promises? Politicians indeed. Wouldn't it be so much easier if we could judge them on their singing ability!
But whatever you think of politics, they the politicians have done their bit, to their detriment or advantage, whatever the case, it's now up to you. For half an hour of your time, your cross in the box, thousands of women fought for the right. For democracy millions of people died. And today many more persecuted people continue the struggle and the fight for freedom. Don't forget to vote.
